Sport Jerseys are a popular item to frame and if they are signed they can be worth a lot. One of my personal and biggest pet peeves is a jersey done wrong. Nobody wants a saggy baggy throw it in a shadowbox frame job.
Our process is to stretch it tight which removes wrinkles. This is an important part of framing a jersey and it takes skill and lots of patience. Then we carefully attach it to a mat and add any more design elements chosen by the customer. We take great care to keep it off of the glass.
There are so many design options to consider;
Number and color of mats
Size of the jersey layout
The addition of pictures, plaques and mementos
Be sure when you are choosing a framer to frame your jersey that they can show you a display of their work, as well as the creative design elements you may not have thought of.
